Das Spiel basiert auf der Ageia NovodeX Physik Plattform und einer angepassten Unreal 3 Engine.

* Ready at Dawn (Entwicklerstudio von z.B. God of War) arbeitet an einem neuen Spiel für die PlayStation 3
* Linger In Shadows TechDemo kommt herunterladbar in den PlayStation Store
* Beyond Good & Evil 2 befindet sich in Entwicklung. Der Final Fantasy Designer Yoshitaka Amano soll die Arbeit bei Ubisoft vorantreiben
* Prizefighter kommt für die PlayStation 3. Bisher ist es nur für XBox 360, Wii und Nintendo DS bestätigt.
* Die Metal Gear Solid 4 Special Edition kommt eine Woche früher als die standard Version. Gamestop hat das Versanddatum auf den 6. Juni vorverlegt.
* Rock Band wird in Europa doch günstiger. EA soll den Preis von ursprünglich 240€ auf 170€ reduzieren.

Diesmal durfte OPM UK einen Blick auf das Spiel riskieren.
Auch hier wurde das Spiel mit 10/10 Punkten bewertet.
- Niko beginnt sich am Hoden zu kratzen, wenn er still steht.
- Der Grund für die Reise nach Liberty City ist, weil Niko sich an einem alten Kriegsfreund rächen will.
- Einer der neuen Autos wird Corquette heissen.
- Carmen und Katie sind 2 deiner Freundinnen.
- Nach einem Date ist es möglich die Nacht zu verlängern oder diese mit der X Taste zu beenden.
- Man kann Autos angreifen die Gefangene bei sich haben.
- Es gibt zahlreiche Hidden Pages und Stunts.
- Wenn Niko angerufen wurde, vibrierte der Controller.
- Neben Frank und Patrick McReary gibt es nun einen weiteren Ex-IRA Mitglied: Gerry McReary
- Einer der kommenden Missionen wird sich "Three Leaf Clover" nennen.
- Eine misslungene Mission kann man neu starten, indem man ''Ja'' drückt auf dem Handy.
- Nachdem Niko einen seiner Auftraggeber getötet hatte, konnte man auf dessen Handy die Nachricht seiner trauenden Frau hören.

- Man kann mit jeder Waffe blind feuern, ausser dem Sniper-Gewehr.
- Im Spiel pfeift ihr nach einem Taxi damit dieser zu euch kommt.

- Man kann Schlüsselcharakter töten, was natürlich Auswirkungen auf den Spielverlauf hat.

Sony hat heute einen weiteren Patch für das Multiplayergame Warhawk veröffentlicht. Dieser wird beim starten des Spiels automatisch installiert und behebt zwei Fehler im Spiel. Zum einen ist es ab sofort nicht mehr möglich die Funktion Unlimited Score in den Spiel Optionen auszuwählen und zum anderen wird durch den Patch verhindert das unausgeglichene Teams gebildet werden können.

N4G berichtet, dass die Beta-Version von Metal Gear Online als freier Download im europäischen Playstation Network vom 17. April (12:00 CEST) bis 6. May (10:00 CEST) verfügbar sein wird. Die Seite beruft sich auf offizielle Informationen von Konami Japan.
Das PSN in den USA ist diesmal ausnahmsweise benachteiligt. Dort wird die Beta nicht frei angeboten sondern ist nur über limitierte Beta-Keys zu erreichen.

In Europa wird die Beta von Metal Gear Online ab Morgen 12 Uhr verfügbar sein. In den Staaten können bereits die Leute, die über einen limitierten Beta-Key verfügen, die 741MB große Beta herunterladen. Bis zum 21. April wird allerdings noch keine Verbindung zu den Servern hergestellt, so dass lediglich das Titel-Menü betrachtet werden kann - auch schön.

Senior Vice President of Marketing Peter Dille hat im offiziellen Playstation Blog angekündigt, dass ein Video Service für das Playstation Network geplant ist. Das Angebot soll gänzlich anders ausfallen als alle bisher bekannten Services dieser Art. Das ultimative Ziel des Playstation Networks ist es, sämtliche Spiele, Filme und andere Unterhaltungsmedien zum Download anzubieten. Während bis zu Letzterem wohl noch ein wenig Zeit vergeht, sollen neue Infos über den Video Service bald folgen. Vorerst wird das Angebvot aber nur auf dem nordamerikansichen Kontinent zur Verfügung stehen.

| Thema: Mysteriöser Counter steht für neues Siren |

Gestern Abend berichteten wir über einen mysteriöser Counter auf der japanischen PlayStation Seite. Heute morgen berichtet die Kotaku, dass der Counter für ein neues Siren stehen soll. Das Spiel wird ein Remake vom ersten Teil und ist zu 90% fertig gestellt. Der Release soll in Japan am 24.07.08 sein und eine Demo soll am 24.04.08 in das PSN kommen.

| Thema: Neue Features für Burnout Paradise |

Criterion teilt mit, dass die Entwickler die Fans von Burnout Paradise auch in Zukunft mit Treibstoff versorgen wollen. Geplant seien weitere Spielmodi, die online implementiert werden:
* Marked Man Online: Ein Spieler wird vom Rest gejagt.
* Stunt Run: Punktejagd für Stunts und bis zu acht Spieler.
* Road Rage: Zwei Teams bekämpfen sich gegenseitig.
Ein Termin für die neuen Spielmodi steht noch nicht fest. Es soll aber nicht mehr lange dauern bis wir in den Genuss davon kommen.

| Thema: GTA IV - Der geschnittene Inhalt? |

Dass in Australien und Neuseeland der Inhalt von GTA IV trotz Rockstars Ankündigung eines weltweit ungeschnittenen Releases nun doch geschnitten wurde, ist inzwischen bekannt. Um welchen Inhalt es sich handelt, ist noch ungewiss. Doch es gibt da wieder so ein Gerücht.
Kotaku berichtet auf der Website, dass sie ein Telefonat mit Rockstar geführt haben und der Herr an der anderen Seite der Leitung folgendes berichtet hat: Es handelt sich um leidiglich eine Szene mit sexuellem und gewaltverherrlichendem Inhalt, die für den Kontinent raus genomen wurde. Er könne nur soweit ins Detail gehen, dass in dieser Szene eine Waffe in die "private area" eines Feindes eingeführt werde. Dieser Handlungsstrang ist Inhalt einer Mission, in der Niko Rache nimmt für die sexuellen Demütigungen eines engen Freundes während eines Gefängnisaufenthalts.
Das Erstaunen des Kotaku Mitarbeiters konnte der Rockstar Mitarbeiter wohl fühlen. In einem Nachsatz fügte er gleich hinzu, dass Rockstar Genehmigung erteilt hat, diese Info zu veröffentlichen. Vor dem Hintergrund, dass das Spiel eigentlich als ungekürzt angekündigt worden ist, sähe man Bedarf, dass diese Info an die Öffentlichkeit gelangt.
Diese Szene ist selbst für GTA-Maßstäbe ziemlich hart, sodass wir das erstmal noch als Gerücht abstempeln. Weitere Nachfragen von Kotaku an Rockstar sind bis jetzt auch noch unbeantwortet geblieben. Aber wer weiß... vielleicht ist ja was dran!
